>tfw stainless steel muffler delete
Thought about deleting the resonators while I was at it, but they're so small on the LS3 cars that it probably doesn't make any difference noise wise.

Found a pretty sweet black friday deal. Hurst short throw shifter and Cold Air Inductions CAI coming to a theater near you. After that I'm thinking high flow cats
>>13981117
>his entire exhaust isn't made of inconel

>>13981231
or no cats, or turbos, turbos are good in the exhaust

I'm pretty sure that isn't actually possible.

Need cats to pass inspection
turbos are expensive, plus I'd need to do quite a few things to my rear end to handle a turbo, and a clutch upgrade lol

kek, bromaro's had his shit laid up for 2 months waiting on axles and diff and he wont have his 9 inch in until late january. Technically I need cats to pass, but they only plug in to the compuer, they are supposed to visually check, but no one does.

I have a whole Solo catback. I'll be getting their catted connection pipes when I finally pick up some long tubes too.
>>13981388
I thought about going cat-back but honestly I like the axle-back sound a lot. I'll get more sound when I go with their high-flow cats which add a shit load of sound to the car. I was honestly on the fence when I bought it cause there wasn't a lot of good quality youtube videos with the systems, but none of the videos do that exhaust setup any justice. It sounds so good in person, not a whole lot of drone either which is nice.
>>13981375
Looks awful, Christ
>>13981416
>not a whole lot of drone either which is nice.
Not sure what the Camaro systems look like, but mine has j-pipes where the original axleback mufflers were, zero drone at all. I need to get a friend to drive my car so I can listen to it from the outside sometime, I don't really have a good idea what it sounds like.
>>13981444
Mine has J-pipes
I really get a good idea of the sound when I'm driving in town with buildings around me. The decel crackle really bounces off of the walls
>>13981416
The diameter isn't changed so it's not detrimental to performance very much but it does look like a shitty crush bend if you look at it from one angle. You would be surprised what you find behind underbody covers on a lot of expensive cars
>not using titanium vflanges with iconel hardware on your entire exhaust

See I don't know what to do.
I don't know if there's any local place even worth a shit to take my car to to get it dyno tuned.
I'm highly considering purchasing HP Tuners and learning to do it myself.

Does hp tuner reflash your stock ecm?
>>13981581
Yes. Anything you can think of you can do with HP Tuners.
Fuel trims, ignition timing, MAF tuning, transmission shift points, etc. etc.
It's a fairly popular tool.
>>13981568
this, is why you call performance shops or talk to tuners online that work locally
Anybody else score any good black friday / cyber monday deals?

DSS 2nd Gen Ford 9 Inch w/ Strange Aluminum case and a Wavetrac on 3.70s. Pic related. Car has been parked since August waiting for this shit since they're modifying my axles and driveshaft to pair with the 9 Inch. No clue why it's taken them this long but I'm glad the ball if finally rolling.
>>13981117
I couldn't deal with the drone that's why I shelled out the extra dosh for Corsa like a good goy. Leaving the resonators like you did will prolly
reduce drone.

Why drag radials on a V6?
>>13984852
I had no traction with street tires.
>>13984924
At the strip or just in general?
>>13985016
Both. And I'm doing 3.90 gears in the spring so street tires will be pretty useless for hooking up.
>>13985081
I wonder how my Extreme Contact DWs will hook on the strip. 2cheap to buy a separate set of drag radials.
>>13985109
I'm actually going to put a set of street tires back on my chrome wheels and then swap my drag radials onto my other spare set of aluminum wheels.
The drag radials are great in the dry but ass soon as the roads get wet from whatever it's like driving on ice.

>>13981326
Just get a dyno tune or a handheld and turn the rear O2 sensors off.
Put longtubes on the lstree last month and left the dual mode mufflers on. Best of both worlds.
Got new tires and currently rattle-canning the hood.
Then the car wont be 3 different colors, just 2 kinda matching colors.
>>13984374
Honestly my car doesn't drone too bad IMO
6th gear at highway speeds sounds just a tad off of the stock system.
Also I know a few people on /o/ have experience with the Cold Air Inductions CAI
Is it worth it if you're virtually stock otherwise?
>>13986589
pic related
also I know they typically see 15 HP more to the wheels with the CAI but idk if you feel any of that in the seat. Still gonna get it, Cold Air Inductions and Roto Fab seem to be the only two non tune CAI's that do anything.
I understand the spark plug defouler will fix codes but has anyone encountered a visual inspection for the cats?
>>13986598
Definetly one of the best non-tune ones. I didnt really notice the power or noise change but it looks nice and improved MPGs.
>>13988170
I heard the local emissions police (lolontario) will actually tap on your cats and see if it sounds hollow as fuck or if it sounds legit.
if they think your shit is illegal they'll shove a sniffer in your tail pipe and see whats good.
>>13986589
>>13986598
Do the cnc machined throttle body too while your at it. Supposed 10 wheel gain with no tune.
>>13986598
CAI only add power by deleting the factory resonator box.
it has nothing to do with the filter or shiny tubing
you can make ur own for 1/10 the cost.
>>13990879
>10 whp gain
More like 01 whp. The only thing it does is improve throttle response and the improvement is very noticeable.
>>13991280
Not all flow well and DIY ones look like shit, the heat shield is what makes the biggest difference.
