What's the comfiest car /o/?
Shelling out 80,000 isn't very comfy. Smooth rides are comfy, quiet rides are comfy. Having an anemic engine is NOT comfy.
Is it the crown vic? Some giant land barge? Twingo?

Subaru Outback
W140 s-class
Town Car
>>13970711
99 altima aint bad
every car iv'e been in that has leather seats and is made past 2009 isn't comfy
I agree with shitpost guy, outback master race.
plus pre 2006 holden commodore
Probably a chrysler minivan or something.
1990 and earlier Towncars.
5.0 engines.

And if you find a V8 exhaust note, put a straight through glass pack on after the catalytic. And bam. You've got rumbley.
g-body cars are both sporty and top-comfy.
My friends use to always talk shit about my 1985 Cutlass because it was old but I loved it.
>>13970948
Aye. G-bodys. Great cars. But don't forget the slightly larger B-body from the same years.
Even more comfy, but mostly 4 door.
Basically any 80s is comfy.
>>13970741
This.
Every Subaru I've been in is very comfortable.
>>13970741
>>13970989
This, my LGT is comfy as fuck. Toasty heater, cold A/C, firm but not too bone-rattling suspension, and comfy cloth seats with just the right amount of bolstering. It'll hold you while cornering but it's not a death grip like the Focus ST's seats. Helps that it has a very nicely shifting 5 speed, tight steering ratio and no funky drive by wire for muh feels too.
It's not TOO slow but it could use more power. Luckily a WRX swap isn't too hard if you pay iWire to do a harness merge.
>>13971020
how hasn't it turned to rust and the head gasket stayed intact
>>13971025
Texas, it never snows and the one time it does per decade, we don't even have any salt machines anyway. It's already had the headgaskets replaced once.

Must be why you see so many Subarus used in Limo and Town Car services, right?
>tfw these chucklefucks have never been in a car that was actually comfy
>talking about lateral support and manual transmission in a comfy thread
>>13971035
It seems you interpreted it as comfiest for the passengers. We meant comfiest for the driver.
>>13971044
>implying a Subaru matches the ride quality or NVH levels of a Town Car or
>>13970831
Jesus fucking christ, just because you can't afford anything other than a lezwagon doesn't mean it's the best shit since sliced bread.
>>13971056
>has never driven one
We have different definitions of comfy then. I don't want something that will lull me to sleep, I want a car that's set up just right and is a pleasure to drive. A landbarge with a low-stall automatic and cushy suspension is not going to be engaging to drive, even if the ride quality is smooth.
/v/ get the fuck out with your retarded definitions of 'comfy'
>>13971056
Son, you're full on mad
>>13971071
>engaging to drive,
Are you literally retarded? This isn't a what's the best handling/driving comfy car thread. Even then an outback is hardly "engaging".
>has never driven one
I have unfortunately, all the way to Cali. Shitty Subaru CVT clunks when you let off the gas on the highway, seats are too stiff and the wind noise is fucking atrocious. This was a '13 Outback btw.
>>13970711
LS 400 ultra lux package is pretty fucking comfy. You occasionally see one pop up on craigslist. I like mine. It's like a regular ls 400, but with a couple of other fun features.
>>13970831
Can confirm for very comfy, I didn't even feel tired after a 7 hour drive in that thing, even though I had 4 hours of sleep.
>>13970741
Good choice.
I find my piece of shit very comfy, the ride isn't the best but the cloth seats make you feel like you are home for some reason.
>>13970887
This I wish I had a land barge. Almost got a 93 roadmaster sedan but needed suspension work
>>13971035
>>13971020
The most objectively comfy transmission is a column shift auto

>>13971112
Honestly the ls 400 just looks SO fucking comfy
It like oozes comfort. There's just something about the two-tone...
>>13971133
Outback is the new meme car you dolt.
>>13971133
I prefer legacy sedan, m8
But cannot deny the comfyness of the outback.
>>13971101
A 2010+ Outback has nothing in common with my car. (>>13971020) For the 5th gen it moved up to the full size platform that was introduced with the Tribeca. My car is on the Legacy platform (obviously) that the Impreza is now on.
Mine doesn't have any issues with a shitty CVT or 4EAT, the seats are great, and surprisingly little wind noise even with the frameless windows that the 2010+ did away with.
I'd let you drive it if I could. It's fantastic. Everything is right where it needs to be, unfortunately muh feels are hard to describe over the internet. The shifter is buttery smooth, the clutch is very responsive, and the gas is always predictable being mechanically linked to the throttle body. The steering is great too, the Legacy GT has a firmer suspension and 16.5:1 rack instead of the Outback's bouncy house suspension and 19:1 rack, as well as a limited slip rear differential.
>>13970887
I want one with the giant cloth plush like this
>>13971148
it's like driving a silent cloud that has a kick ass sound system (even now ~15 years after the fact) and is absolutely huge inside. It's not quite as fun to drive as a beemer, or say a hot hatchback, but it's fucking comfy.
>>13970741
Those wheels look so good. If I ever get a subie it'll have to be some type of blue with gold wheels.
Early 80s Buick LeSabre
I'm sure its not exclusive to this car by GM at the time, but my roommate's '85 el Camino was the comfiest car I've ever sat in
Miata
I'm a manlet btw
Bench seats 4lyfe
It's not car but I would consider a conversion van.
>long wheel base
>big v8
>up right seats (comfy office chair)
>easy pleasy steering
>low road noise
>RWD
>>13973294
I've sat in less comfortable living rooms.
>>13973294
my dad has a 98 E150 conversion, and I just drove it on a 1500 mile round trip. It's not very comfortable and feels like you're driving jello.
>>13970711
Anything heavy with a powerful v8 and lazboy interior
What cars are comfy for 6'3 guys? Driving a citroen c1 and it's terrible.
>>13973358
I'm going to guess that when ever you hit a bump, you bounced excessively, hence the jello feeling?
If so, that's a good sign the shocks were blown.
>>13970711
Felt like I was floating in my 97 Thunderbird. It had a rep for putting passengers to sleep when I wasn't hooning.
>>13970711

My driving lessons were actually in a w126 and it was very comfy, I could see all signs and everything, where as in the shitty citroen if I'm somewhat close to them, the ceiling blocks my view.
Would never buy one of those though.
>>13973458
>car constantly losing rear tail lights
>stiff wishbone suspension
