So this dude is leaving base and selling this bike for 50 bucks.
Some mid 80's standard Suzuki.
No plates, no key, doesn't run.
Should I buy it for giggles?
Could be anything wrong with it really.
also, we're stationed in HI.
The title laws are a bit relaxed; as long as it isn't stolen i can keep it
yes, buy it. but thats not the pic i assume, is it?
would be a fun project to work on

Nah, the body and frame are both really good.
It just looks like it's been sitting for a while. Headlight is hanging on the cluster and there's mucho dust.
Worst case scenario, I have a frame for a restored or swapped engine

In all likelihood it's got an electrical problem/dead battery. Easy, worth it. Don't know about in hi but worth 600 maybe.

It seems like 80's to 90's standard bikes are much cheaper here.
I just got on island, so it'd be nice to have something to work on.
I've only worked on a bike one other time, but the internet and I can do antything
Bought it, 75 bucks for the bike + six pack.
Will post pics later tonight
You said $50
I'd be careful op. 'No key' to me means either extreme running problems or stolen. If your in a country where buying stolen goods doesn't matter that'd be amazing though. Id pay $75 just to play around with a bike in my garage

you'd be wasting 50 bucks
>probably stolen
>cant offroad
>needs work

I'd be cautious. Bikes and mopeds get stolen from UH all the time and flipped

50 bucks? fuck yeah. ride it as hard as you can for a few weeks and if it breaks, leave it on the side of the road. 50 bucks well spent
