Nah miles wont kill my yota the fucking salt will. Thank christ I am moving south where I can keep her forever.
>>13939823
Better hope it hasn't started yet. South won't save it if you've got deep set rust already without grinding it off.

>Every day making money
>Every day getting closer to replacing my old cars with better ones
Sometimes you just gotta put shit out to pasture.
>>13939804
Yep, you can definantly keep driving those. Might wanna have it pulled apart and inspected every 100k though. eventually connecting rods do stretch. I have seen power stroke diesels go at 750k-1mil because a connecting rod simply broke and went through the block. No knocking, no signs until BANG. shit just happens. engines do eventually wear out....oh well, even id its royally fucked, u can always find a donor engine. Or about 500 dollars and a afternoon.

>Doesn't know how shit cars are today
>>13939798
my first car only made it 39000 miles before blowing a head gasket and shredding two cylinder liners
>>13939859
Even though i disagree with the age=better thing. Thank you for using the phrase "out to pasture" so many people just scrap their old cars today. Down here in the south. All the old farmers and cattle guys have fields with trucks sitting around. They keep them, sell parts if convienant. And eventually scrap when the vehichle is either a husk or so decrepit that it is irreprable.

It's the way of life OP.
Except you know, everything can be fixed with enough money.

My grandfather has been driving the same 1967 Chevrolet pickup truck for almost 50 years.
Pretty much everything has been redone at one point or another. It has 325,000 miles (if I remember correctly) and still looks new.

>tell myself i need to stop adding so many miles on my car and cut down on touge time
>try to not go for a week
>four days later (yesterday) say fuck it
>come home with 380 more miles on odo than when i left
>really want to go driving tonight
trying to distract myself with videogames but i'm addicted. best feeling in the world is passing someone you're racing mid corner and having their headlights dissapear soon after, but i don't find other people often..

You know what's the real issue? Rust. It's unstoppable unless you only want to drive your car on 20 sunny, warm saturdays a year.
