I know a guy with a Camaro SS.
I was looking around it, and thought it was pretty cool.

And then I asked.
"Hey, I guess you can't stick your arm out when the window is down."

He rolled it down completely and put his manlet arm like 50 degrees higher than it should be for a normal car and said.
"Uh yeah I can. Dumbass."

It looked uncomfortable as fuck, but I concede. It's a fast car. And the Hellcat nearby didn't really outdo it, since the driver spun so much.

Serious question, why do all Chevy "sports cars" overheat? Turbo/supercharged cobalt ss overheats, camaro overheats, corvette overheats.

None of these cars can even be driven up hills without adding extra radiators.
>>
>>13938073
Idk this is seriously awesome in my book. A lot of time i find that I'm putting my hand next to my car's vents just to cool them or warm them, depending on the weather.

I think this is a great idea.

Have you ever owned a v8? I'm guessing not.

Guilty, but that's why i'm asking.. I get how more torque or a faster car can be appealing to someone, I just don't get the fuss about the v8. Care to explain? All I see is an extremely thirsty engine.

It's the torque at low rpm. You don't have to stress the engine a lot to move fast. I've owned different types of engines. Currently a four cylinder as my DD, but I have my v8 for fun. It not that big of deal for me to DD the v8 besides just more gas. If you drive a v8 then you'll understand. People bitch and moan about v8 vs anything else when it really comes down to what you want. Sure you can race car a 4 cylinder, but then you have to worry about more parts and with more parts means more points of failure. Like all machines, it's built for a purpose and theres pros and cons to everything.

Mine doesn't overheat either. Helps that I got rid of the cat and advanced the timing, it doesn't have to work as hard to make power. It's just fine at 114k. The only time it's ever overheated was when I brought it home to Texas from California through the desert immediately after buying it.
>>
>>13938180

Nope. I have the stock and an aftermarket digital temp gauge. I've had other cars overheat due to cracked radiators and what not then getting stranded with my phone dead. Its made me cautious about my car overheating now.

The Camaro SS is an amazing value. I used to hardcore hate American cars; but with the new Mustang and the Camaro it's hard to deny their prowess. A phat V8 and good handling. All for relatively little money.

New Camaro is pretty beastly. They were competing with Mustangs when they weighed 300lbs more. Now that theyre the same weight and hp/tq they should shit on Mustangs (in theory)
>>

u wot, the LS3 water temps actually get cooler the faster you drive it. Plus two fans up front to keep the cars water temps from crossing 220 when it's just sitting and idling. When I actually run it to redline and rag on it the temps drop to 198.

It's an overstyled car built for the insecure, the mid-life crisis crowd, and people who think it will make them cool. It's a tasteless, overwrought pony car that costs too much and weighs too much for what it is. It's woefully space inefficient. If that spells perfection to you, reevaluate your standards.

I need to sit in one. From what I've heard, you get used to visibility. Also, the SS comes with backup camera, cross traffic monitoring and some other shit to help out.
Also it's 200 pounds or so lighter than the outgoing SS.
These benchracers need to get out of the thread, it's just annoying and pointless. But hey, it's /o/ culture it seems.
The downside is that it'll cost you around 40k out the door, including taxes and fees.
I make 65k a year and I'm not comfortable dropping that much on a car.
But damn, 0-60 in 4 seconds flat makes muh dick hard.
