You wake up and realize you're Canadian
You have 12,000 bucks in your car savings account
You realize you can import any 15 year old car from Japan
What do you import
Pls be more creative than a gtr or supra. You fuckers can piss off.

What if Stagea+Alto Works+gen IV Civic?
>>13905431
Wow rude
>>13905431
I would kill myself to wake up as a Canadian.
Wait...
I don't think you weebs realize how expensive it is to haul, ship, inspect and pay taxes on a Japan import.
That $12,000 budget will only get you a car worth $7,000 after it's all said and done. In that price range, it'll probably become even more of a money sink for restoration and parts will be hell to find.
190E 2.5-16
or maybe a G280D
I'd get a Nissan Sunny

But you'll wake up again thanks to free healthcare.

Cars over 7 years old in Japan are absolutely worthless
>Hurr durr I need 2 get the specialest snowflake possible
You'll be one of those idiots on Kijiji in 12 months. You know, the one going "Only 1981 Datsun XYZ in the country, rare part broke, can't find replacement, asking price is exactly what I paid for it after $3k shipping cost, except now it's broken. Oh, and in order to get it through provincial safety I had to slap a bunch of extra lights on it so it's ugly now."
That all said, I'd just get the JDM tyte version of something sold in Canada originally. Not an FD because they are fucked 100% of the time. Actually I'd probably just go pick up a busted automatic Z32 TT 2-seater from Kijiji for like $2k and spend $8k on making it fast and not automatic.

Yeah but it'll take about 15 years to get through the waiting list.

Link won't work for me, but that appears to be a 2002 WRX, in which case it's not legal in Canada yet.
MY2001 (production date current day, 2000) or older
>>13905766
>prod date 12-2000
Legit bud.
>>13905766
They started selling the GD WRX in Japan in late 2000, the US didn't start getting them until fall 2001 as 2002 models.
>>13905828
You mean March.
>>13905796
>>13905828
Oh, neat.
I'd just get a GC though. You could get a nice Version 6 GC coupe, or really, really nice sedan, for $12k.. and it would already be in the country/in your province, so no shipping costs, OOP safety, etc.
Get a job 1989 Toyota soarer. So sick looking and a 1jz get power plant. The world would be your oyster.

Civic Tyte caR or Integra Tyte caR
Does it have to be a car? I really don't know why you'd want a RHD JDM Subaru. They're almost identical to the USDM models performance wise with the added ass pains of RHD. A Supra or Skyline I can see but a JDM Imprezza? Whats the point?
If I could import anything it'd be a Diesel Hilux because you can't get them In Canada very easily, at least one that isn't rusted to fuck.
Tomi Makinen Evo.
Actually came close to hetting one of these imported to aus but bought a brand new 86 instead. Figured a 20 year old turbo rally car wasnt the best of ideas for my only car.
Maybe when ive got the income and space for a garage queen...
Would surpass the price range but I think it's a Japanese classic that get overlooked.
Toyota Hilux..
12000 is enough to take me back to freedom.

AE86
save a pristine one then takumi it without fucking up the interior or anything else and no door decals
its what i would do
your mileage may differ
>>13905402
>you can get a prestine fd rx7 for less $8k
why is it so cheap? is there a shit ton of hidden costs involved?
