I have duct tape all over my car to cover cracks and marks in the body panels. Passenger mirror held up with duct tape after it broke off. My AC fan selector knob broke and I taped it together to work and just left it. My passenger windshield wiper limps and won't move sometimes but I haven't gotten around to fixing it. There are holes developing in the trunk sides because of undercarriage rust. My tachometer sometimes has a seizure when I turn the car off and twitches. Driver's seat has holes in it and foam coming out... clutch pedal squeaks when it's hot.

My blower fan controller is automatic. So it broke obviously.

Aside from the faded paint, dents, and discombobulated trim pieces that flap in the breeze, the most ghetto thing is probably either the ground I run from my battery (which has its height boosted by a couple of wood blocks) to the engine block and then again to the shiny aluminum radiator, or it could be that I replaced most of my AC with that from a 90s honda civic, and you can see the welds/soldering/grinding when I open the hood.

couple months ago, paid 1800$ for it. I still have the s2k, but I just wanted something to beat on without feeling bad. It's also got a bit of aftermarket goodies as well.

Saddest part is that it's faster from 0-100 than the s2000. (anything after 3rd gear is slower, but that's just due to gearing, 1 and 2 are almost identical to the s2gay.)

I'm gonna be doing winter lapping at cayuga with a couple guys from /o/ and you can come if you want.

The back door doesn't stay open on its own, so I use rake handle to prop it open.
Two of the five doors don't respond to the power locks and have to be manually locked or unlocked.
The driver's door often fails to unlock itself in response to the remote door unlocker.
Zip ties are used to keep one of the electrical cables plugged into the computer securely so that it doesn't wiggle free and cause backfires.
One of the wheels is missing the center disc, leaving the hub exposed.
The backlight for the gear selector doesn't work, so you can't see what gear you're shifting into at night.
99% of the time, the radio fails to perceive any FM stations at all, leaving only AM stations available to listen to.

Dart Rallye 1.4T

Drives fine without a pedal box. I used a scan tool to reset the TPS and PPS several times until it learned. You just have to pay attention to your tach and keep it in the powerband at all times. A double-tap on the throttle before accelerating from a stop helps to "wake it up" too.

>>13874894
because racecar
because Dodge didn't equip my car with the underbody aero kit other Darts have so I can't actually get the advertised 41 MPG without modification.

I cut off the fake diffuser in the rear too, as it was causing extreme aerodynamic drag (related to the lack of underbody aero).

also my intake has been replaced with a $3 aluminum CAI tube from a junkyard Civic. It doesn't really do anything but the induction, surge, and purge noise is glorious.

The gas door lever is broken, so I have to open my trunk to reach in and open the gas door.
>>
The little trunk open sensor is strapped on with electrical tape to keep it from moving out of position (the sensor is on the locking module, not where you'd expect)

My headliner is sagging and I pinned it up with sewing needles in a quilted pattern in the back... I actually prefer the look so I'm keeping it that way.

I have to remove a 10 amp fuse to turn off my interior lights because of a stuck on illumination module. Every time I park at night I have to do this, so sometimes I drive at night with no dash lights

>>
My rear license plate holders rusted off destroyed the plastic it attached to so I put velcro over the entire back of the license plate and stuck it on. It's been on that way for ~8 months.

My drivers door window is off track and will tilt if I try to roll it up so I used a suction cup to hold it straight while I roll it up

Rear driver window doesn't work at all so I duck taped it completely shut because it has a habit of falling down. The duck tape wasn't holding well enough and leaving a sticky residue as it failed so I ended up sealing the entire window with loctite and duck taping it again. I imagine after a while it might rip off the weatherstripping.

>>13868734

In my daily? The plastic undercarriage has a shim holding it to the passenger's wheel well. I keep good care of it.

In my project? Shit, that's a hard one. Probably a toss between the washers forcing my Dana 44 to stay engaged, the pliers I have duct taped to the window roller, or just the generally awful and half assed spray enamel paint. Or maybe it's the back hatch which has to be held up by a piece of PVC pipe. Or maybe it's the fact that it came from the factory with air box ducting but is carbureted. Or maybe it's the fact that its forced to drive in front wheel drive because a u joint sheered and dropped the rear shaft. Or maybe...>>13868737

Assuming it's similar to my one things you'd need
>boot kit, comes with the grease and straps or whatever they're called
>new roll pin

tools
>Hammer
>roll pin punch
>some sort of penetrative/lubricating spray
>those pillers that that has little circles on the end to get the ring clamp thingy off on the innards of inner joint
>32mm socket for axle nut
>19m for wheel nuts, also a 19mm ring spanner
>12mm I believe for the sway bar bolts
>brass hammer, you might need to knock the axle out of the hub assembly

1. block the rear wheels, raise the front off the ground, usual safety bs, jack stands to support the front up and also keep jack there as well. Break the wheel nuts

2. remove wheel, try to get that notch on the axle nut out as much as you can. get someone the press the brakes to undo the axle nut using a breaker bar

3. undo the bits that connect the hub assembly to the shock, mark where the top bolt was to get the alignment right when done, undo the sway bar where it connects to the lower control arm.

4. rotate the rotor to get the roll pin on the inner side horizontal, pull the rotor forwards to remove outside axle end from hub. Punch roll pin out. Remove axle completely.

5. pull apart inner end of axle there's that ring clamp thingy for those pillers. Clean all the parts. put duct tape over the spines on the end to put the new boot on without damaging it. reassemble the joint with covering the pieces with the supplied grease. put some grease inside the outer cage then put some more grease in the new boot, do it up.

6. reinstall the axle in reverse of removal, do the axle nut up tight (152 ftlb), hit the notch in

there, my illiterate instructions on how to do it

Do you have any problems with freezing or fogging windows?
>>
Passenger window is off the track so it doesn't go down the rubber properly and gets stuck.

Otherwise mint

Thanks but like I said it will be for a spring project. If the boot holds then quite frankly there is little urgent need to replace. Any detrimental damage would have been done from when it initially tore and not from having it covered back again. I scooped out what I could and replaced with new grease to give it its best shot.

On my skyline r33 we had to jam a stick in ignition barrel to stop the steering from locking then put a screwdriver into the ignition to start it.

1992 geo metro. Headlight switch went bad so put fog lights on the hood and drove it like that.

The VIN plate in the dash was hacked out with a screwdriver, so there is no VIN on the dash, since they thought it would help when they dumped the car in a field after stealing it.

Take a guess what car I drive.
