projector headlights are just brighter than halogens

Good on you for not just wanting to shove hids in incandescent housings. I'd personally spend the money on an exhaust first though, get the v8 to growl a bit louder.

If you get good ones they look great. Keep in mind that most of them are cheaply constructed and the clear coat will start to peel within a year.
