alrighty, /o/
I can't decide on the tires.
I'm going for 235/40/18 for summer on 18x8.5 rims for summer,
and same setup for winter tires, because I won't be driving in snow and/or ice,
winters are very short here and come late, but we are bound to change tires early,
and drive around on sunny days and occasional rains ON WINTER TIRES.
so, I'm choosing between:
>Toyo Proxes 1
>Toyo Proxes T1
>Michelin Pilot Sport 3
>Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
for summer tires, and
Toyo Proxes 4 Plus
Michelin Pilot A/S 3
which one would you choose?
any other suggestions?

I seriously can't find any decent reviews comparing the pairs, so I turn to you, for your personal experiences and/or knowledges on the topic.

And if you're already getting two sets of tires why not just get proper winter tires for the other set if thats when you'll be using them?

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my s13 240sx. 225/45/R17 on all 4 wheels, and they grip like super glue, strong wet traction, and hwy speed stability is amazing and smooth. The biggest difference was the ride quality and stability past 100mph. $135 each, cheapest vs the sport 3's and PS2.

because winter tires are mainly made for snow and ice traction - conditions at which I'm not going to be driving this car.
as I said, the true winters are very short here -- we have like 4 months of somewhat winter here ; 1 month of rains, 2 months of snowy/icey roads, and 1 more month of rains.
so basicly, I need high-performance tires which would work best under these conditions.
I just figured that high-performance A/S tires would be better than straight winter ones.

gotta add, my main priorities for winter tires are DRY and WET traction, handling and cornering performance.

Don't have much experience with all-seaons here due to Scandinavia, but I've heard very good things about the Michelin ExtremeContact DWS
