I don't think there is some sort of procedure to organise a series. It's just that people don't want to take responsibility and/or they don't want to use casual and/or famous series(see GT3).

If I would organise a series, it would have been an one make race, like the N2 AE86 that would run mostly on small japanese tracks, which are quite fun to drive, even if they don't have 500hp. But people don't want to drive stuff without aero.

That's the same reason the DRM series won't happen either, if it's proposed for a sunday series.

Drm won't happen or would be a failure like kraid's formula series because they are more cars for hot lapping rather than racing. They are tricky to get the hang of and will not provide close racing or inspire any confidance. On top of that the field will be split massively. I guarantee at least 8 seconds between first and last place.

I think they would be interesting for pickup races every so often. But not for a series.

If we're going to have something like that, we should make another tab on the doc, and put the propositions by the date they got proposed in, with a short presentation on what are they about and their general attitude/plans for the series. One column for saturday series(The more driver friendly), and another for the sunday series(Which would be the traditionally more hardcore)

That way, no one would complain, and everyone could see all the ideas any time they want, so no one could say their idea got ignored.

Instead of having 2-3 or three people just arrange the series in mumble by themselves, we should let the the whole body of ovg look at the series propositions and voice their opinions, and not have a behind the door, "if you don't like it, don't drive it" attitude. Some people could have great ideas for a new series, but because they are not Kraid, Gnik, Valrys etc., they get straight up ignored most of the times.

I should say that that if your idea is picked anyway, you could propose to give the organiser position to someone else if you want, so don't be shy and send me your ideas! We saw a lot of posting about the DRM series, so I expect a mail about it in the future.

Also any chassis is welcome, whether it's full body, open wheel or a multiclass series.

So I downloaded GSC from the wiki and when I go past the map loading screen to the garage the game just crashes. If I run the sync application and replace the crack the same thing happens but it also gives me a crash dump file.
Could the issue be that my game directory isn't on my system drive but a different drive?

It works, all cars work but some might need minor things fixed (headlights/taillights blacked-out, catch a rumble strip right and the rear launches, no .rfm so I only found it under 'All cars/tracks')

Trucks on small tracks were hella fun, but the problem is there is very little skill involved. One unlucky punt from someone and you're facing the wrong way and pretty much fucked for the whole race. Pretty hard to come back from something like that considering passing a single car could take ages.

But yeah, I run low settings so I can get the maximum amount of FPS with a full grid. My laptop isn't really a powerhouse so it sorta struggles when I use high settings.
