You just fucking find a stock 3 doors trueno in white and black initial D style, keep all the stock parts, maintain it, 10 years from the moment the show gets forgotten the price of the car will skyrocket. There is also a risk factor for double the money of half of it if you modify it with the same exterior than the corolla from the show. No idea if someone would actually pay more for the suspension modifications and the engine tho.

if you want a car like an ae86, get a ke70. engine swap a 4-age and then some other stuff.. people usually put in ae86 parts into them like steering rack, which aren't too hard to fit since they're really similar platform. just research ke70s cause some models are better than others

the difference is that ke70 will cost 1-2 grand for a decent condition one. another 1 grand for an enigne swap, and then 1k for some different parts.

a lot cheaper than a stock ae86, and will perform better for half the price... but will feel a lot like an ae86
