Hey o

I'm starting a new project car, but haven't been able to get a proper answer to my question to make the selection.

What is the lightest, mass produced, rwd, sport/performance car built post 1985?

Aw11
>>

Whatever you can built to meet your specs. Put a whole tube of lipstick on whatever pig you can get your hands on.

also 4 years older by design.

in the end, its about skill, if you're new, get the miata, it won't punish you for making mistakes

if you can get the 4agze aw11, then get one of those, but it will punish you if you fuck up.

And why are you telling me how they will behave when I've owned both cars already?

Fiero. Its light and the geometry isnt bad for going fast. Mid engine so it will probably corner well.

Does the Elise count as mass-produced? It's got like 300 pounds on the AW11.
>>
>>13819859
Yeah, build/buy a tube frame and put a fiberglass body around it, then shove a 572 bigblock with twin turbos in it.

There, fast as fuck and you can probably do it for under 80 grand.

yeah but most of those people that he's talking about just weld up something loosely chassis shaped, glue a load of MDF to it and drop in a shitty V8 and then wonder why it handles like shit.

i chose the special snow flake killing machine.

"I have a Mazda Performance Portfolio book that has compilations of old road tests and there's a Motor Trend comparison between a 1990 Miata and a MR2, here's how it breaks out:

HP/Torque - MR2=130/140 Miata=116/100
0-60 - MR2=8.5 Miata=9.4
1/4 mile - [email protected] [email protected]
Lat. G's - MR2=.93 Miata=.88
Slalom speed - MR2=65 Miata=65.8
Weight - MR2=2599 Miata=2182

Bottom line of the test was a draw."
