The Chevy Impala, the big old muscle landbarge. You'd FEEL that car pull up before you saw it. Incredible car. What is it now? As >>13818739 said. Viper has always been a very niche car. Most people don't buy them because a Vette can do 90% of what a Viper can for half the cost. Don't misunderstand, I love the Viper more than any other car. It's just the reality of the situation. In a money-making situation, where the Viper is a hand-crafted V10 roar machine, it cannot compete with the Vette in terms of being profitable.

It died before based on this fact because it was necessary for Chrysler to survive financial troubles. Now it's being axed because the Fiat overlords are looking to maximize profits in every area that they can. The Viper, in it's current state, requires too many man-hours/resources/materials for something that is lucky to sell 1,000 cars a year. So the current CEO just sees it as a money pit.
