The Koch brothers launch campaign to pass President Trump's

WASHINGTON — In a major jolt of support for President Trump, the powerful political network overseen by conservative billionaire Charles Koch is launching a multimillion-dollar campaign to drive Trump's tax plan through Congress.

>Koch, who viewed Trump's candidacy warily, now is racing to build public and congressional support for plans to overhaul the tax code. Trump's one-page tax blueprint, released last month, includes plans to slash the corporate tax rate, reduce taxes for high-income earners and abolish the federal estate tax.

>The group plans to throw "the full weight of the network" behind the campaign with the goal of passing a tax overhaul this year, said James Davis, a top official in Koch's Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce. Davis would not disclose a specific dollar amount but said the effort would include advertising and mobilizing grassroots activists.

>The campaign is expected to last into the fall.

>The chaos and controversy engulfing Trump's White House threatens to imperil his legislative agenda on everything from taxes to a plan to rebuild the country's infrastructure. But network officials see a window to push the tax plan this year, well in advance of the midterm elections that could risk Republican control of Congress.

>"If you don't do it now, it becomes increasingly difficult," Davis said.

>The network ranks among the most influential players in conservative politics with operations in 36 states and its own grassroots arm and for-profit data and marketing branches. In all, about 550 ultra-wealthy donors help finance the constellation of political and nonprofit groups associated with Koch and his brother David Koch.

>Those groups plan to spend $300 million to $400 million on policy and political campaigns ahead of the 2018 elections.

>>141700
And no one have the right to slavery, especially with wage slaves.
>>
>>141702
Again, wage slavery is VOLUNTARY. The worker enters into an agreement with an employer. The worker is at fault for not better negotiating or not having a more competitive skill set.
>>
>>141703
without wages, there's only death.

Do you see the point?

You're prostitute for life and soon the Wealth will own all the land on the planet if they're not stopped.
>>
>>141704
>without wages, there's only death.
Of course, that's called incentive, which is what Capitalism is based off of.

>You're prostitute for life and soon the Wealth will own all the land on the planet if they're not stopped.
And the top are the smartest and most capable, hence the term Captain of Industry. They are the ones who matter, who steer the ship of humanity. The rest of us are just cogs in the machine that they operate. The world can lose a Joe the dogcatcher or Bill the plumber and there would move on, but to lose someone like Koch or Trump would send ripples across the world.
>>
>>141705
You do realized that you compared Trump and Koch to Gods when their actions will damned all of humanity.
>>
>>141700
>No body else has the right to tread on his property.
Property only exists because society allows it to. As Thomas Jefferson once said
>It is a moot question whether the origin of any kind of property is derived from nature at all. It is agreed by those who have seriously considered the subject that no individual has, of natural right, a separate property in an acre of land, for instance. By a universal law, indeed, whatever, whether fixed or movable, belongs to all men equally and in common is the property for the moment of him who occupies it; but when he relinquishes the occupation, the property goes with it. Stable ownership is the gift of social law, and is given late in the progress of society."
The purpose of a society is to benefit the people. If a society only serves to benefit a small few at the expense of the many then it is in the many's rational self-interest to change the workings of that society, which in this case would be giving the finger to the people who have hoarded the world's wealth.
>>141703
Having the option to work for less than your labor produces or starve is hardly voluntary. It can hardly be considered a fair agreement when one party has an absurd amount of leverage over the other.

>They are the ones who matter, who steer the ship of humanity.
And they're steering that ship off a goddamn waterfall. They've destabilized the middle east in order to enrich themselves by supporting far-right fundamentalists and starting constant wars with zero regard for the countless innocents killed as a result, while using the refugees fleeing from the chaos to promote far-right policies which benefit them in the west and drive down wages, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. These people got where they are by being fucking sociopaths who would sell their own mothers to make a buck. They've only been able to amass so much wealth and power because we as a society have allowed them to, and we as a society have every right to take it back.
>>
>>141684
I don't care if they're rich, I care what their policies are

soros is a corporatist too but at least the dems are tempered with trying to find a happy middle ground between corporatism and securing the working class's standard of living.

repubs don't even bother to lie when called out on shrinking government in ways that hurt consumer protection or reduce the economic security of the working class. Their response is simply that people have a right not to be taxed or regulated outside of extreme circumstances, and if that concentrates wealth and harms the working class, that's just how it's got to be.
>>
>>141711
>This has to be a false flag

>You cannot make this shit up

With reduced taxes those people will bring their money back to the states. Which means they'll invest in businesses and companies to provide more jobs.

Catch being those jobs will mean shit to you if you aren't a well trained white collar already and the low blue collar ones will be done by illegals or robots. That does leave some service jobs though.
>>
>>141684
I don't like Soros either because I don't like corporate money in politics, but I guess that doesn't fit into your black and white narrative of "If someone doesn't like Koch then they must be a liberal communist BLM faggot who loves the taste of Soros' cock"
>>
>>141427

Thirty years of supply side economics has given us a system where in 2011 the top 20% own 93% of the nation's wealth. That means 80% of the population (of course, no one on 4chan, we're all rich and successful here) are fighting over the 7% scraps left to us by our wealthy corporate masters.

Currently, we have worse wealth inequality than India. I swear, the longer I live, the more I have to agree with George Carlin when he said his country was bought and paid for a long time ago.
>>
>>141785
That's not bad when you consider that our GDP is tremendously higher then India, so 10% can sustain the lower income layers while the 90% is used to incentivize the job creators to do better.
>>
>>141786

>'job creators'

You've drunk the Kool-Aid by using that Orwellian, Frank Luntz-created term. The issue a bit more complicated than just having a larger GDP.

>"I know a little something about soft money, as my family is the largest single contributor of soft money to the national Republican party. Occasionally a wayward reporter will try to make the charge that we are giving this money to get something in return, or that we must be purchasing influence in some way.
In fact, shortly after this summer's historic budget agreement, some on the left began shopping a rumor that President Clinton was planning to line-item veto a provision that, they hypothesized, had been somehow sneaked into the agreement to benefit my family's company, the Amway Corporation.

>For a moment, the Democrats got very excited, believing they had an opportunity to claim that we bought access. It was all hogwash, and upon being confronted with the facts, they had to scrap their plan. I have decided, however, to stop taking offense at the suggestion that we are buying influence. Now I simply concede the point. They are right. We do expect some things in return.

>We expect to foster a conservative governing philosophy consisting of limited government and respect for traditional American virtues. We expect a return on our investment; we expect a good and honest government. Furthermore, we expect the Republican party to use the money to promote these policies, and yes, to win elections.
