I'm pretty sure there's one reason she won the popular vote and it was because Donald Trump was the alternative and most folks didn't mind a continuation of the economic growth, near full employment, EPA, and pathway to universal health coverage produced during the Obama era.

Wage stagnation and illegal immigration were major issues she suffered on but half the country didn't trust Trump would fix that anyway and the other half thought Trump was the only hope as far as those matters were concerned.
