I already know down the road I'm going to buy some crazy expensive full suspension enduro bike because that'll be the only thing that will pull me away from this one
either that or I crash this so badly it cannot be repaired

Nah I'll stick to this until at least the end of the year. I'm sure I'll find people getting rid of their older bikes when new ones come around the corner/christmas gifts/etc so I might find some great deals. I'll also have more time to figure out what I REALLY want, which ain't bad.
I mean, I've been riding for only like three months, there's time for a new bike.
Am I the only one that went through this kind of thing?

I'm in a similar boat on the road bike side of things. I think I'm just going to ride mine to death and spend a little more when this ones drivetrain gets iffy and I convert it to be my rainy/beater SS.

That's called being a cyclist. The n + 1 rule won't suddenly stop applying to you when you buy a new bike or upgrade your old one.
