It's not a very good bike, and the large size will be just barely big enough for someone of your height, but it will work tolerably well for a commuting bike if you live somewhere flat. If you do buy this, it would be worth having a bike shop do a basic tuneup (to make sure there's adequate grease in place, wheels are tensioned, bolts tight, etc.) on it before you ride it very far - half the problem with most cheap bikes is that they're not put together properly, greatly increasing the chances that you'll experience component failure.

1. Go to bike shop, get a lower-priced hybrid or road bike that can take racks. For USA, figure this will cost ~$400. It will be built and assembled much better tho.

2. get Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires for it. This will cost ~$100 more (you may need to order them online) but it makes getting flat tires far more unlikely
2a. If you get a bike that has 26".559mm wheels then there is a china copy of the Schwalbe MP that is cheaper, called the Salvo ($20 on Amazon) but it only comes in 26" x 1.75. It is not S-MP's, but it is breddy gud for cheap.
2c: Forget about paper-thin tires with kevlar layers, those don't stop shit. THICK tread rubber is what you want here.

People will tell you that Marathon Plus are slow tires--and they are. But you can plan on riding at a slower pace; you can't plan on getting a flat tire. When you have to get to somewhere on time, it is best to make the bike dependable rather than as fast as possible.
