This seems to be the item, a fair description given pics. Sold for $135, a fair price compared to a Walmart BSO. I would buy that and give it to a kid to ride, and he would have the coolest wheels on the block! But that would not repay my forsightful parents 40 years of storage anywhere. T-bonds ftw.
Old bikes are a cool hobby, but a lousy retirement plan.

That is not the collectible one. That one is newer and not nearly as cool. It is however worth way more than 135 bucks, that guy got a steal.
The easy way to tell them apart is the banana seat. See how that one is stubby? The one that is collectible is longer and looks more like the normal banana seats from the era.

the headshock? the parts in it are proprietary and no longer made. if it breaks, bike is no mas. if you're saying it's already broken, it ain't worth shit.

i think the rear shock is also supposed to be crap in terms of geo and bounce absorbing all your power just because they didn't know what they were doing at that point, IIRC
