This thread got me wondering, can you even do the boat equivalent of bicycle touring on modern day Earth?
Are there any rivers left long enough to provide several days worth of traveling that aren't polluted concrete canals that go through city after city after city, or in some godforsaken third world with spiders the size of birds and spear-chucking niggers?

jeez louis of course. obviously this is a huge one but the grand canyon is a popular two week trip by kayak. there are also a bunch of multi day/week rivers in mexico and south america but I don't know much about them. All white water by the way. I mean, why would you think there are rivers left in the wilderness? have you looked at a map ever?
