what is the greatest form of transportation and why is it the car?
>Aircraft - expensive and requires years of training, cities often only have a single airport.
>Bicycle - great for kids but slow, exposes rider to the elements, danger of falling
>motorcycle - same as bycycle but fast
>public transport - slow, doesn't always go where you want it to, full of smelly hobos and aids
>trains - slower than aircraft, limited number of stations and destinations.
>automobiles - affordable, safe, shelter from elements, fast, goes where you want, requires little specialized training, private, fun
cages are for fat people who hate freedom
US American detected, our public transportation runs fine because we don't have niggers or hobos
Already made the thread, friend. Hasn't even been 24 hours.
Why do cagers believe that railroads are limited but roads, parking space and all the other infrastructure they need is a god given right?
>HOOOOONK HOONK BEEEEEP HOOOOOOONK
>>1096536
because car drivers pay the fuel tax to build those roads.
>>1096581
um no sweetie, thats not how it works
>>1096585
>cycle bums believe this
The car is a fantastic form of transportation for all the reasons you mentioned.
Unforunately you forgot a few negative aspects like the fact that motorized traffic killed 40k people directly and countless others indirectly. Cars are toxicant distributors we allow to spread cancerous fumes in our cities. Also, they clog cities and the infrastructure needed for all of them occupies a ridiculous amount of space.
my butthole transports poopie so it is FUKKEN best
>>1096581
How does that work? You pay a fixed rate on fuel and every road gets paid from that no matter whether it's on city, state or national level?
Why are there toll roads if roads are supposedly financed that way?
And how does it pay for parking space since parking doesn't use a whole lot of fuel?
>automobiles
>safe
Yet more people die in car crashes than any other vehicle on earth.
>>1096581
Kinda, the fuel tax does pay for a portion for building and maintaining roads as well as things like a sales tax on new cars and some parts, but it often isn't enough (varies from state to state) which usually leads to two outcomes, borrowing from another pool of money, or using bonds
>>1096581
>>1097168
None of this fucking matters since we pay taxes regardless and have a right to the road.
You don't get MORE of a right to the roads because you pay 'car-related' taxes, you pay more taxes because you put more wear and tear on the road and need retard proof shit like traffic lights installed/maintained.
>>1097169
yeah but what kinda tax should be paid for the maintenance and installation of safety features
A increased gas tax resulting in an increase in what you pay at the pump
Or an additional income tax to help keep the price per gallon relatively low
>>1097176
car tax, license tax, registration tax, fuel tax, fuck em up every way we can
>>1097176
What the fuck do you think? Want car specific shit? Pay car-specific taxes. Not like my 'general' taxes have me in mind most of the time as a cyclist. (Though I drive too)

Your other thread was deleted for a reason

Nothing beats good ol' Shank's Ponies. Good enough for Merlin...
>>1096432
>horses - actually affordable(hay is cheaper than car fuel), safe, goes where you want, faster than walking, requires little specialized training, gentlemanly, fun, edible, can be used for raiding
>>1096432
Public transport/trains are great in Japan. Where society is not fucked and hygeine has a set standard, even for people with less money.

>When aircraft are the safest form of transportation
>When there is an airport in most towns in the USA due to laws
> When they are faster than cars with ease
>When you can request airspace and do tricks and shit
>When there is no real speed limit
>When they aren't actually expensive provided you didn't get something you can't afford
>When the people flying are trained and medically fit to fly so dumb shit that happens in cars like texting and driving, DUI, ghost drivers, etc
>When you can go places where a car cant
train + tram is objectively the best.
>no traffic
>cheap
>doesn't require you to do anything but sit there
>safe
>environmentally friendly
>>1098790
> When they are faster than cars with ease
small aircraft are not much faster than cars at highway speed, sometimes slower
>When there is no real speed limit
yeah but a Cessna aint that fast to begin with
>When they aren't actually expensive provided you didn't get something you can't afford
that Cessna will set you back more than a new Mercedes while having all the luxury of a 50 year old VW beetle.
>When you can go places where a car cant
sure but it is a lot harder to take a plane to the grocery store than it is to take a car from New York to Brazil
>>1098806
but the tram exposes you to people who smell and want to talk to you about the governments mind control rays
>>1098623
>- actually affordable(hay is cheaper than car fuel),
lol, nope.
The car. Obviously.
>>1098990
lol, no
>>1098868
>but the tram exposes you to people who smell and want to talk to you about the governments mind control rays
not in the civilised world though

>what is the greatest form of transportation and why is it the car?
That depends on the scenario.
For example:
In good weather conditions in a verry crowded city, the bike is king, since you can go faster than the cars and are only exposed to sunshine.
If you want to travel long distances, the plane or train is usually faster than the car and about the same price or cheaper.
The bus usually sucks...
A car works in all scenarios, but isnĀ“t always the best choice, (small) car+bike are the best combination.
You get the long distance travel and cargo capabilities of the car and the urban speed of the bike.
