ITT: Things that trigger you about bike sellers
>asking $600 for a low end 35 year old project bike because it's vintage
>it's probably a boomer selling it
I want to write a bot that offers him "$50 cash" every hour.
>>1072668
Also, I'm betting he got a lot of emails saying it was overpriced and is ignoring them, hoping to catch a sucker
>one shitty non drive side pic
>not listing size
>people generally clogging up CL with their BSOs
>RARE
>VINTAGE
>>1072668
>but it was like $1000 when it was new!!!
>No comments about the size of the bike, just ´´I'm x height and I ride it well''
>It has SHIMANO shifters
>150 euro for a low tier OTS which needs new cables, bartape, chain, saddle and maybe tyres
>100 euro for an even more crappy OTS because it can be used for a fixie project
>100 euro for a rusted bike shaped rusted hi-ten metal covered with cowebs, which needs new pieces, new wheels, sand the rust, frame paint...but it cost 100 euro because it's a classic bike which can be used for a store display
>Barely any useful pic, no drivetrain pics, no pics from close position, just useless blurry pics.

Oh, and I remembered three weeks ago, a dude was selling his bike and amogst his blurry pics there were unrelated pics like a sofa on a store, and a spic family eating at the table with a coke bottle in the middle. The guy uploaded like 8 photos and just 3 of them were about the bike.
>8-10 pictures of bicycle
>all of them at angles that don't show any component names or even the brand/model
How much do you think this one is worth?
>>1072797
he's a big guy

Please respond

I put a bike up for sale a few years ago for what I thought it was worth ($700)
I got a lot of butthurt poorfags emailing me saying it's a piece of shit, I'm crazy, it's not worth that much, but bicycle blue book says. Genuinely angry responses, crying about how I should give it to them for next to nothing
I sold it 2 weeks later for $650, which is $50 more than I was willing to take for it
>>1072797
200-300 USD because it sounds like it's completely ready to ride. Those Sirrus frames are heavy and RX100 is nothing special, but that's a perfectly rideable bike and should make someone 6'6" pretty happy.
>>1073023
What kind of bike was it? Some brahs post mid-2000s Specialized Hard rocks that were $350 new for $600 used
>>1072797
>62cm Specialized Sirrus for someone 6'0" - 6'4" tall
>too small for me
Holy shit! Giants shouldn't ride bikes. Just imagine the size of his/her shits!

Oh fucking Christ. I went with a friend to a pawn shop because he knew from the previous owner they had two '70s road bikes in the attic collecting dust and I needed one because my mom let a tweaker living at our house borrow mine and he pawned it (ironic, also I was away at collage at the time.) So we go up there with the new owner, who's a shithead and dig them out. One's a nice green Peugot, the other a red BCA. The Peugot's nice so I offer him $60. Niggers goes on to say he spoke with his buddy and that since it's a vintage 'Pewgot' they sell for $1000s when full restored, and the bike was worth at least $400 just for parts. My friend, who did fixie conversions on 70s road bikes to sell to college hipsters, straight up laughed in his face and said he'd bought dozens of similar bikes and had never seen one sell for over $100. Long story short, he refused to sell it for less than $400 and I had to buy the other one for like $60 or something. It turned out to be in great shape though.
Fuck that nigger.

Someone actually had a Sears road bike on here and those were considered "nice"
While they hated the mid end alloy bikes carbon fiber was just starting to enter the mid market price point
