I'm making a shitpost IRL, any suggestions?
Have lots of parts laying about.
>>
>>1064053
Good start. Get rid of the brakes, mount toe-hook pedals and an air horn.
>>
>>1064053
flip them bars brah

you win /n/ forever if you weld a derailleur hanger on the back of that memecycle and hang a mid or high spec derailleur on it with no connection to the actual drivetrain.
>>
>>1064057
No, with connection to the drivetrain, shifter cables and shifter attached, but no other cogs to shift to.
>>
Full fenders.
Rack(s).
Aero bars.

You needed help making a wheel cover/disc wheel?

Measure the diameter of your wheel.

Divide it by 2.

Take a piece of string, tie it to a nut and bolt.

Cut the string to the diameter of your rim divided by 2, now called the radius.

Do it on a staples poster board.

Bolt the string/not to the poster board and draw a line, do the same with a utility knife using your line as a guide

Make 2 circles.

Now take your wheel. Hold it in front of you as if you were behind the bike

Your spokes each are laced to one side of the wheel and they alternate.

Zip tie your poster board to each spoke on the corresponding side.

To clearance the valve stem. Use a socket as a guide.

Walmart sells flat black spray paint for $0.99 a can. You have to be over 18 to buy it though.

>tfw been riding bikes for upwards of 5 years and working on them for around 2 and still learn new things everyday

that's kickass. If i ever do an SS build im definitely throwing one of those on there
>>
>>1067990

is this a legitimate move ?
I feel like I have heard of that back in the fixie and ss days.
>>
>>1068200
I suppose it is. I first saw it long ago here at /n/, some vintage pics had those rings, and then I saw a recumbent with it too. It's not really a meme because it works. Probably a correct chain size is better, but that ring adds something special to the bike because it's something you don't see every day.
>>
>>1068218
Does it stay?
It seems like it would fall out and fuck up the whole drivetrain situation
>>
>>1068258
I don't know if some extremely bumpy road can make the ring jump too much.

It can't possibly get any worse.

New to here sure. This place isn't much different than any other board: lots of anons talking about X, but not actually participating in X.

Hello,

I am Daniel's father. Daniel passed away last week. I am sorry if any of you are friends with him. I am going through his computer for memories of my son. The family is deeply upset and I am escaping here into his world.

If any of your are his friends and would like to get in touch with us, we can be reached at [email protected]. We would like his friends to have some of his bicycles. I am too old to ride them and we want him to be remember.

Daniel didn't have a lot of friends but it would mean a lot to us knowing someone could take one of his bikes and remember him like we do. I am keeping my favorite one.

We love you Daniel, we'll miss you always.

Love,
Dad
