Why haven't you guys made the leap to the motorcycle master race yet?
>40+ mpg
>less nox emissions
>dirt cheap
>more reliable than cars
>cheap to maintain
>cheap to insure
>can be parked virtually anywhere, even inside your own bedroom if you're on the first floor
>0-60 in 2.4s
>0-100 in 5
>superior handling

>Why haven't you
Do not make so much of a special snowflake of yourself. Also, don't go spamming useless topics around wrong boards. Meet you at /dbt/.
>>1041321
But i have.
Because I don't want to chug the fossil Jew
>>1041377
>not having a biodiesel operated motorcycle
this and my mountain bike, my only hobbies
I made the leap a year ago. Did everything right - had training, practiced on the road for 2 months. One week after officially getting licensed/insured some cusshole on a Prius decides to blast past a stop sign...I was fine but my bike's fork's were bent af.
I want to go back on a motorcycle but I don't think I can, there are just too many stupid people around.
I despise cars and car culture so I guess I'll be on a bike for as long as I can. :'(
>NOx
Mostly a function of compression, suspect bikes have as much or more on a per-size basis.
>Dirt cheap
Have to factor in helmet, leathers, etc. But ya.
>Reliable
Not really. Especially if winter happens where you live.
>Cheap to maintain
Not at all. Even the heaviest bike is 'high performance' compared to a truck, with durability less of a design priority. They must also be kept to a higher standard given the relative lack of safety features. If you are putting less cash per mile into a bike than a car, you need to re-think that.
>Fun
No argument here!
>>1041432
>I despise cars
Time to dual sport then.
>>1041470
Dual sport best sport
>>1041377
electric bikes are like a thing now ya know as in ones that go 60km+ and if you can /diy/ you can make some pretty neat shit
>>1041321
>dirt cheap
>0-60 in 2.4s
I don't think so
Bicycles are even cheaper to buy and maintain and have no additional costs like insurance and licensing. If I had to make regular long journeys then I'd consider getting a motorbike, but I don't so a bicycle does the job whilst leaving me with a lot more money.
The cold and rain prevents my total transition
Because motorcycles, unlike bicycles, aren't magical
>>1041321
Don't know about "master race". Motorcyclists whine more than cyclists. I do plan on moving up to a big boy bike eventually.
>hydrocarbon jew
>>1041523
bought pic related for $2100
Because what if I break down 40 miles from my home, and I got nobody to call to pick me up
>>1043240
That's when you call AAA.
>>1041321
I know too many instances of people dying on motorcycles to dd one.
>Grandpa's best friend was run over by a truck, bled out on the pavement before the ambulance even got there.
>Neighbor's daughter died at 22 years old, just after getting a bachelor's degree. Don't know how she was killed, only that she was on a motorcycle.
>Saw someone on a motorcycle crash into a car near a freeway onramp. The motorcycle folded in half and the guy most likely broke his neck from the way he hit the car in front of him.
I get that you can be a safe, defensive driver with any vehicle, but you're putting yourself at much greater risk on a motorcycle no matter how you slice it.
Big scooters are great too because of the storage and luxury. I like the long and low look of them.
They are easier to drive than a car imo. You can see were your scooter is in space, avoid hazards easier, and not be cucked by "lanes"...
It's less fun
>>1043438
>less fun
Econobox carcuck detected
Disgraceful
>>1041522
It will be a glorious day when electric bikes get cheaper, sounds like a spaceship when speeding along in one.
>>1043408
I want a mega-zord.
>Those aren't both feet.
>>1043408
I own one but I feel like a nerd riding it, seriously.
>>1041432
As a Prius driver I admit 99% of them drive like assholes. I hope you own that cager now.
>>1043637
Do you wear one of these?
I wouldn't mind a bike but it'd have to be electric because I can't stand fossil fumes
>>1043773
for christs sake done do it anon, not in the UK anyway, ive been riding motorcycles for the last 7 years and i know that bikers fucking hate those vests and you will legit get abuse from them while out wearing one even if youre minding your own business and not riding like a dick
91 kawasaki zx7 ninja. cost me 4k with 42k on the engine.
>>1044413
noice. you should stop riding it. thatll be a collectible one day
because they come with a much higher risk of dying and i don't believe in an afterlife.
otherwise i would op
>>1044448
i was reading the zx7r is pretty rare. compared to the zx7r, how rare are the non r zx7's?
>>1044034
>Some fucking tit on a vespa crawling between two lane night traffic
>Wearing the gimp jacket
>Very overweight as well
>Three of us waiting behind this guy
>Crack in the road so the guy starts to veer off
>Everyone sees the opening
>We all peel out past fatty
Literally a cunt advertisement, never seen a decent rider wear one.
Also linking up with strangers for a little synchronised riding is awesome.
Equal opportunity

>>1044584

>>1044699
>The guy rides
Sure does, in his living room that is
>>1044729
>Polk
Can't afford good beer, can't afford good speakers
I'm all for good bikes but only up to a point
>>1044729
what the fuck is the point of riding a bike that nice on a trainer
>>1044766
Living within riding range of the Dolomites makes up for the ancient house.
>>1041321
> 50 times as many fatalities as cars, bicycles, or pedestrians per distance traveled
>>1044787
Worth it desu. Have you been on a motorcycle? There's nothing quite like it. It's better than sex.
>>1044790
mhhhhmmm death sure is better than sex
