No way, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for that Raleigh. The seller may have sunk more than that into fixing it up, but at the end of the day it's still a bike with a stem shifter and a crappy frame. If anything, aside from installing modern bars and freewheel, he made it a less capable bike than it would have been with the stock parts.

Not OP, I'm really having a hard time finding a decent road bike. I've been looking for almost a week, but I've only found one that I really liked, but the seller already sold the bike (yet he still has the listing up, it's the blue carbon Trek w/ Ultegra). OP here. That'd be so very nice of you. I'm 5'11". Mainly wanted to find a bike for commuting back and forth to college which is like 3 miles. But my city is a lot of uphills and downhills and I'm not in the best of the shape so I want something thats light and efficient. For budget I was thinking $250. Can stretch it to $300 if its a really good deal.

Are you a chick? This looks to be about the right size, but being a Terry bike it will have a short top tube (women tend to have relatively shorter torsos). Price is a bit on the high side tho.
