I've only ever enjoyed the company of women for short periods of time. A long tour would be troublesome. Solo tours are best, meet lots of people for short bits and continue on your way.
touring for me is an escape from all the drama and constraints of urban life/personal social life. Just you, your bike and the horizon. Refreshing simplicity.
YMMV depending on your intro/extrovert attitude.
