Serious question: did you have to suffer from depression to understand this album?
I only find teen angst in there.
I dunno.
Im depressed and i love it so there's that.

Serious question: did you have to suffer from liberalism to understand this album?
I only find playing off political themes for good reviews.
I'm depressed and I don't get the appeal
No.

No, I'm not depressed and it's one of my favorite albums. It still makes me tear up sometimes anyway, and I find the off-kilter rhythms fascinating.

No. Angular melodies played in odd time signatures combined with the aggression of post hardcore created a sound unlike anything else at the time. It's creates an atmosphere that is unlike anything else in music since.
is this supposed to be a sad album?
just felt like a couple guys making some good sounds while reading high school poetry?
am i missing the sad part?
didn't he fuck some chick from the fortune teller place?

yes, im depressed and this is the greatest album of all time for me

depression =/= sadness
I'm depressed and love it so maybe...

i'm depressed but i turned it off about 30 seconds into it, it's really overwrought and unlistenable
I'm depressed and this does nothing for me. Silent Hill 2's soul crushing industrial ambient is far more accurate

>judging any alum ever without listening to it all the way through at least twice
it's like you want to be miserable
>>75162855
no i was an angsty teen when i was obsessed with that album. started getting depressive episodes in my 20s at which point it only resonated me through nostalgia.

It's actually not that way and you are wrong
There's literally one angst song, and it's only considered angst because of who made it. If Don Aman was made by Michael Gira, no one would care.
