Maybe I haven't heard enough extreme metal but I've found a lot of that doesn't quite do it for me. Like just a bunch of talking about violence/murder/satan doesn't hold my interest. Take Pearl Jam's Do The Evolution though. It's more about humanity as a whole and its evolution into being more efficient at taming the planet and warring with ourselves. I like that.

"Heartwork" by Carcass, anything by Death or Autopsy
>Black Metal:
Mayhem, Burzum, or Darkthrone. Burzum sounds more up your alley. The satan shit is basically just replaced with pagan shit and christanity is still railed against but Varg has a lot of great tracks with lyrics exactly like what you're looking for.

Most thrash lyrics are exactly what you're looking for. Start with the big obligatory bands like Slayer (my favorite), Megadeth, etc.
>Grindcore
Grindcore lyrics can often have more of a political bent to them due to the hardcore punk influence so it's not as escapist and fantasy-oriented as other metal. Start with Terrorizer, Repulsion, and Napalm Death.

You may or may not be interested but Pantera is one of my favorite bands of all time and the lyrical subject matter of a lot of their stuff should satisfy you. My favorite album of theirs by far is The Great Southern Trendkill but I guess start with the big records (Vulgar Display of Power and Cowboys from Hell)
