Well this was disappointing to say the least.
Does anybody find the rapping to be comical and terrible on this album?
And the instrumentals aren't great either.

Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but it's jarring hearing shit like "YEEE BOIII".

Fair enough.
I've only listened to hip hop for a 4 days so yeah I'll just keep on listening.
It's good but not great imo.

Basically all rap before NWA sounds comical now, it's the phrasing and speed.

It Takes a Nation of Millions was my first Public Enemy album when I was in high school. It sounded really weird to me at first because of the way they heavily sample their songs together. But before too long, it was enjoyable. Though, I haven't returned to it in a while.

When this album came out, it was a game changer for rap/hip-hop. It was loud, noisy, in your face and all over the place. It raised the bar, and set the standard.
I still enjoy it on many levels, but their support of a well known hate group like The nation of Islam and an anti jewish racist hate monger like Luis Farrakahan disturbs me greatly.
