how come more popular music forms haven't advanced towards the structure of classical and jazz?

verse chorus verse seems so banal after listening to those two for even just a little. you would think that more rock/electronic/pop groups would at least attempt to have that continuous progression structure.

also, post any groups that do this

Jazz and classical aren't catchy to the average person. A hit song needs a hook that's easy to sibg along with and stays stuck in your head. Pop music isn't art, it's business.

For someone preaching advanced musical structures, you do not seem very intelligent

not even 'preaching' that it's better, I just found it weird that out of decades and decades of popular music, there hasn't been too much divergence from verse-chorus-verse. it's not like plebs don't know a handful of classic and jazz tunes.

do I gotta be smart to ask a question?

You act like modern classical and modern jazz aren't things
>>
>>75148480
read the OP, talking about genres other than those two

>not even 'preaching' that it's better,
You just said
>verse chorus verse seems so banal
You think banal is a positive thing?

>do I gotta be smart to ask a question?
You should know what you are talking about before discussing it. How long have you been studying music theory?
