I have yet to listen to any of their other work.

I won't lie, when I first listened to just ascension day, I was extremely underwhelmed and kind of disliked it.

But upon hearing it a few times, and now the album, it has severely grown on me.
I have a feeling the rest of the album will continue to grow on me with repeated listenings.

How would you compare that swans album to their other work?
I've only heard TBK and The Seer.
Former of which I find kind of boring, but the latter is pretty good in my opinion.

it's on par with their early No Wave stuff imo, but I prefer their Post-Rock albums. you should listen to Soundtracks For The Blind if you haven't already

I'd say it's Lil Beethoven + Seduction of Igmar Bergman + FFS

Pitchfork gave it a 7.1 and I have to agree with them on it
