Post your last 5 rates and discuss music /mu/tants.
Yes, one of these is a single.
can you give more detail about your opinion on loveless?
hey
So... whaddya think boys? am I a pleb?
I saw a thread and decided to finally listen to that meme album
Can't say I was surprised

It was only my first listen to it, though I'd listened to only shallow and THKW before.
Overall I thought it was pleasant sounding most the time, and nothing struck me as bad, nothing really stood out either.
The wall of sound simply sounded, like a wall of sound, and didn't really make me feel anything.
The only exception to this, is Only Shallow, perhaps its just because I've heard it enough times by now to recognize its structure more, but I really enjoy that track.
I do think however, that with time and repeated listening, I will likely grow to enjoy loveless more.
However, at least for this first listen, it's simply good & nothing really more.

Haven't listened to any of those.

>>75117014
Love Games is a damn good song that's for sure.
>>75117122
Pleb/Patrician is a myth.
>>75117125
You rated Hancock 3 points too low.
>>75117172
Why not? Classical can be good.
I'm not really sure what to rec any of you, I apologize
>>75117696
I always felt like Head Hunters was too tame and uninteresting compared to Herbie's other works
>>75117696
yeah most classical i've listened to is definitely good, i'm just a bit new to the genre so my opinion probably isn't very well formed
>>75117127
I think the best is Art Brut, it's futuristic Polish hip-hop heavily relying on samples from Polish synthpop and coldwave songs from the 80s
Thumbs was also a really good alternative/experimental hip-hop mixtape, and Busdriver is slightly popular on /mu/.
F3 is a kinda love-it-or-hate-it thing, I might as well give you the best track from it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdUR0zvMhUs
Fisz and Emade are a rapper/producer duo, and also they're brothers, and sons of a famous Polish rock musician, Wojciech Waglewski, that's kinda interesting. Tworzywo Sztuczne is their backing band. But desu Fisz is a mediocre rapper, while Emade is an amazing producer, so it still works well

>>75119753
Construção and Clube Da Esquina are really good
>>75117125
are you talking about 21p? it's pretty bad
>>75117014
I agree with your mbv score desu
Techno is fucking lit.
Idk what happened to Möd3Rn tho, his early stuff was amazing, and he's just declined so much. The album was good, but still not up to his early quality. Also was like 75 minutes long, kinda dumb.

Check out Vladimir Ashkenazy's recording of the complete piano works of Chopin, absolutely amazing.
>>75120136
worst itt
Shame people don't seem to like Torsten Pröfrock as much as the other Chain Reaction members.
>>75120136

Tarkus first half deserves a bit more than 2.5
as an average between that and the second, 2.5 fits tho
>>75117172
how's that ichiko aoba collab?
>>75119935
She is Beyond Good and Evil (and making a good album)
+Iggy Pop
>>75119753
shoutout to the construcao, lets be friends
>>75117127
Why do you rate an album before you have listened to it enough times to have an informed opinion? Honest question, I'm just wondering
Some real boring shit is being released this year
>>75119935
Best Iggy album by the way
\m/ im a big ol faggo
been going thru my 2017 list and catching up on ratings, I really wish I could give the Igorrr album a higher rating but it just isn't gelling the way I hoped it would
>>75120826
two of the most disappointing comeback albums of my life
>>75117172
then you are missing out
43 albums to go... then I've re-rated everything. It's been fun. I'd guess that I've only changed about a quarter of my original ratings
hmm... I always used Sputnikmusic for rating stuff
>>75120637
the collab is worth a listen if you're a fan but i don't think its better than any of her other albums. personally i wasn't too fond of the other group but its definitely a pretty decent release
>>75117125
why intentionally hurt yourself like this
The

Because unless I really really hate something, I always revisit albums.
BUT. I like to wait at minimum 1 month. Otherwise it feels like I listened to it too recently (exceptions being albums that really click for me on the first listen).
Thus rating it confirms it in my "library" of heard music, making it easier for me to remember to revisit it.
Plus it isn't like I don't change my ratings.
Typically I'll just rate an album the first listen, second listen I'll rate the tracks as well, third listen I'll review it.
>>75119791
same to you bro... anyone who gives batushka or haxan cloak above three stars baka...
>>75122588
I just want to thank you for being a good OP, and for offering decently well thought out replys
>>75123711
You're very welcome anon.
Anything to get more actual music discussion going on in this board is a win in my book.
