Hi, everyone. I am a girl and I am embarrassed by Death Grips. I don't understand the hype with this MC Ride guy. I get that he's black, but that doesn't excuse the quality of music they make. They are dangling on the edge between noise rap and dubstep and it's not a pleasant place to be. Why not listen to NAH, Moor Mother, clipping, Moodie Black, literally anything else? You people won't shut the fuck up about their lyrics but it's just the same shit every time. "hurr i'm so esoteric lol egyptian book of death lmao necronomicon you'll never really know what I mean i'm so mysterious ooooh..." Shut the fuck up and flip burgers, you talentless fucks. Andy looks like child molester and Zach should go back to what he does best: smacking the drums and keeping his mouth shut.
Don't even get me started on the fans. I've been approached by so many mouth-breathing, soundcloud commenting, genius.com-contributing, 17-22 year old bitch boys this past year alone that take any opportunity they can to ask if I like this "really cool weird band called death grips." I can assure you I have turned around and cut off contact every single time I've been asked that. Surest red flag there is.
There's just no denying that Death Grips is mediocre at best (n***ers on the moon was the closest they got to something listenable).

I don't see what is wrong with rap having lyrics about things other than being a degenerate. I think the lyrics are pretty cool and I don't think their lyrical ambition is disproportional to their skill really. The rest of the music is way better than that of any other rap I have heard. I don't know what people see in the simplistic, formulaic shit that most rap has. I don't really see why you included that you are a girl or why that would lead to you being embarrassed by death grips.
