Kanye seems very naive and "old school" on The College Dropout, but he seems very cynically egotistical on Yeezus, where he seems to be beyond being just a rapper/producer, he's a god.
It still feels weird that Family Business and I'm In It is made by the same person. It feels like the new Kanye is a completely different person.

He started to become the new Kanye in about 2007 imo. The dropout bear albums are made by the old Kanye. (Not saying anything is good or bad, he just SEEMED very different. This is not about logic, this is about how it feels.)
Next thing he's gonna do is realise he's more than just a god, and gonna rap about that very fast, dropping his best and cleverest lines over the entirety of Pulse Demon, but he'll make it so can't really make out what he's saying.
No mastering, no EQ-ing, no clever sampling, just the most experimental and raw hip-hop album ever made.

That sounds both awful and amazing at the same time.
