I'm getting into Kraftwerk, but I'm just wondering is it generally accepted that the German or English version of their albums are the definitive versions?

I always listen to the German versions. I don't think there's any difference other than lyrics and that's not really the focal point of their music.
Radio-Aktivität is great because there is only one version.

I started with german, then my native lanuage (english), then listening to every language version.
stuff like electric cafe spanish version is super rare.
quick post your favorite kraftwerk song

then why is my album in english and named "Radio-Activity"?
anyways to answe OPs question, it doesnt matter, there robots and always know whats best for you, so both versions are good

The whole album really, but the title-track always struck me as Kraftwerk's best "hit" song, I like it more than Die Roboter or Das Modell.
I like the contrast between light-hearted pop sensibilities and ominous, non-human darkness, although I guess you could say that about Kraftwerk in general.
Runner up would be:

Because they sing in both english and german on the album. The only thing that changes between versions is the titles on the package.

I forgot to post the track, but you all know it anyway

I really love their early krautrock stuff, especially when they had claus dinger (neu!) as their drummer. There are some absolute gems and even great electronic songs.
This is a rarity taken from a live radio session, not on any albums, a slow moving sludge rock distorted fever dream.

this song is like seven minutes of noise to hide the absolute balls to the wall ending, gets me so fucking pumped
https://youtu.be/dMQfSN3vLzI?t=7m37s
and this one is a super relaxing electronic song that could have been on autobhan, fun fact pink floyd actually sampled the clock noises for 'time'

Simple. You prefer the sound of German language, you listen to German version. You prefer sound of English language, you listen to English version
What do you guys think of Karl's solo stuff?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx9IWUlmt2I
the german accent is fucking disgusting

it's just kinda meh synth-pop IMO, i can definitely hear kraftwerk sounds though.
florian made a song for some charity event about stopping pollution in the ocean which I thought was pretty good.

fun fact I read wolfgang's autobiography 'i was a robot' and he talks about how he jizzed on the couch as a kid.

Yean it's definitely more synthpop than Kraftwerk, but it does have the Kraftwerk sound all around it, which I love.
I've heard the Florian track and I liked it, but it's a shame he can't be bothered to make a full album. Same with Kraftwerk, they're still touring which is nice and I could see them, but in 20 years the only new material they released was the tour de france soundtracks.

i saw them live in portland a couple years aog and thye placed a good mix of all sorts of music. I really want a new fucking album or something. they just released the catalouge, so now you can listen to the robots live like the fucking 6th time. PLEASE ralf just do something
>>75053717
Listen to all their in all the different languages. Kraftwerk is good stuff
>>75056069
*their different songs.
Fuck.
>>75055843
Without Florian there is no Kraftwerk, they can be gr8 live but a Ralf solo album labeled as Kraftwerk might ruin their legacy completely.
I dont want to listen to kraftwerks version of "the weirdness" tbqh
German of course
I always listen to artist in his original language
