So whats happened that pitchfork is suddenly loving britpop after all those years of hate?
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory? 8.9
Oasis - Definitely Maybe 8.8
Blur - Modern Life is Rubbish 7.8
Blur - Parklife 9.5
Blur - The Great Escape 8.2
Suede - Coming Up 7.9
Suede - Suede 8.4
Pulp - Different Class 9.3
The Verve - Urban Hymns 8.6
Pitchfork has always been pretty positive about Britpop
They gave This Is My Truth by Manics 9.5 back then at the time
They absolutely hate post-britpop though

Pitchfork always loved Blur though? They gave them a 7.5, 9.1, 8.6 and a 9.4 all between 1997 and 2009
Same thing with The Verve. They got an 8.9 in 1997 and 8.3 in 2004.
Pulp got an 8.2 in 2001 and 8.4 in 2007.
Suede's "Best of" got a 8.7 in 2010.
Come to think of it, they really only just seemed to hate Oasis, but most of that hatred was for all the horrible shit they put out after "Morning Glory". Pitchfork wasn't really active enough to have ever reviewed them in their prime.
Hurry up and take the britpill already mate
Also Supergrass got a 8.9 in 1997 and 9.0 in 1999, 7.6 in 2002, and 8.4 in 2004.
