When will we have the technology to convert our thoughts into sound that way music production would be a lot cheaper and easier to do?
we already do it's called instruments

>cheaper
hmmmm
>>74961300
it gives me thinking

Not what I meant.
You just think of the music and it uploads to your computer; no need for instruments or digital studio software other than to make tweaks on Audacity.

But presumably, you'd be thinking about the music played on an instrument. So why not just play an instrument?

alright thought leader I see you're very sure of this idea
just keep in mind that nothing currently exists to easily / reliably / effectively "upload" someone's thoughts into a computer. I don't think you know very much about neuroscience nor computer science. keep practicing the guitar big fella! :^)

You can play multiple instruments simultaneously in your head; you'll need software and/or a band to play multiple instruments at once.
If it's possible to create a device that can convert your thoughts into digital sound, you wouldn't need production software, band, or instruments.

We, apparently, been working on converting thoughts into video using fMRI; it's not very reliable, but there have been results. What if the same thing is possible using sound?

Then again it could be bullshit.
