Don't kid yourself. Wine and most kinds of alcoholic beverages taste vile owing to their toxic nature. The more you drink of it, the more tolerable the taste becomes -- and lets face it, the only reason people drink alcohol is because of the effects of alcohol.

The facade people put on saying that wine or whatever is an exquisite drink is utter bullshit, and it is nothing but an excuse to drink. "Wine connoisseurs" can't tell the difference between cheap wine and aged wine when tested.
