Saying both are lyrically oriented is still comparing apples to oranges. That's like saying The Avengers is the same as Heat because they've both got ensemble casts. Dyaln deals with surrealism rooted in traditional folk (and later folk rock). Hip hop, for the most part, is rooted in jazz and heavy realism.

Kendrick's lyrics are very different to Dylan's, in terms of approach (Bob Dylan's being more surrealistic), but I can see similarities between early Dylan and some of Kendrick's verses that are more focused on social issues.
