To anyone interested in virtuoso drummer, punk pioneer and industrial visionary John Murphy (1959-2015):
mega.nz/#!fswDRSBJ!ijbzN0xh8dV5Z2AazgcEelMAYnb2kS9uk-0NX95xWRg
This archive comprises all of Murphy's solo work (Shining Vril) gathered from many neofolk / post-industrial compilations and "All My Sins Remembered", a 2016 commemorative compilation made by friends and colleagues of Murphy featuring among others Nikolas Schreck, :Of The Wand And The Moon:, Blood Axis, SPK, Genocide Organ, Die Weisse Rose and Andrew King. Profits were donated to Murphy's wife to cover for medical and funeral expenses.
Some tastes of his work:

I very much recommend his and Nikolas Schreck's performance "In her thrall" for a demonstration of his capabilities as an improvising live musician:

Want to get into Death In June but don't know where to start?
Go chronologically in the order I laid out for you below. This should give you an overview of their musical development over three decades of their career and teach you all their quintessential songs. As DI6 is all about versions some of the earlier albums have been replaced withtheir superior counterparts. Here we go:
>Lesson I: Misanthropy
>93 Dead Sunwheels
>The World That Summer
>Brown Book
>But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter?
>Roseclouds Of Holocaust
>The Cathedral Of Tears (1993, EP not comp)
>:Black Whole Of Love:
>Kameradschaft
>Heaven Sent (as Scorpion Wind, with Boyd Rice and John Murphy)
>All Pigs Must Die
>The Rule Of Thirds
>Peaceful Snow (with Miro Snejdr, Dougie's cute new boyfriend)
>The Snow Bunker Tapes
>Euro Cross
If that list is too long for you, I'd advise you to skip Oh How We Laughed (a recording of one of their earliest concerts), Roseclouds Of Holocaust (which is very similar to But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter), The Cathedral Of Tears (which is notable only for containing one of their signature songs of the same name), Peaceful Snow (which is notable for the oddity of being an album of piano ballads, neofolk versions of which make up The Snow Bunker Tapes) and Euro Cross (which translates the signature songs of Symbols/Roseclouds era Death In June to their more stripped down post-2000s sound).

Not so quick series of questions and comments. First off I have been really interested in Nicholas Shreck since a girl I dated recommended demons of the flesh, a book he cowrote with Zeena.
Question1: Can anyone find his updated version of "the Manson File" anywhere online? I can only find like the fucking French kindle version anywhere.
2. I haven't looked too I depth into this all, but generally I have never really liked nicholas' music at all, except maybe Charlie's girl? Where to start with his music?
Is /Neofolk/ the most comfy general?
Could someone hit me up with a link for England's Hidden Reverse? I can't find a link for it anywhere.

Some interesting things ive found running through Nickolas' Life
1. he seems to be friends with, or was friends with Nick Bougas aka A Wyatt Mann. Yes the Nick Bougas who made all the /pol/ tier cartoons. Bougas was allegedy in the car with Nicholas when his ear was cut off. There is a really great podcast devoted to the Manson Murders on youtube. The podcast is called the Tate LaBianca Hour podcast iirc and Nicholas went on for like 4 hours talking about his updated book: The manson file. Highly recommened. Consequently I cannot find an English version of this book anywhere.
2. Anton Lavey, Nicholas' one time Father In law, made a "mondo" movie called "Death Scenes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Scenes
I guess I am a bit of a fish out of water in this thread. My favorite music is Bowie, Boris, yes, John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Pavement, the list could go on...long time mutant but I always avoided neofolk for whatever reason. But now I'm super obsessed with the connections between Kenneth Anger and the Shreks and Nick Bougas and Neo Folk. Help me out if yall have anything for me.
