Usually the guys who like only rock music and don't enjoy jazz have shitty tastes and depsise experimentation. And about blues, well, that's strange, because rock derives directly from electric blues. What do you think about blues rock? For many artists there is not even a clearly marked distinction between the two genres.

That's never too late to listen to "A Love Supreme" or "King of the Delta Blues Singers", though.
