Why would you read something by a talentless hack?
>>74887176
how does this chart not include thomas pynchon?
>>74887176
the talentless hack chart is probably the single best bait image I've ever seen
>>74887176
>>74887257
It's just so fucking cohesive. Throw in some Grant Morrison and Alan Moore and you will have in effect baited every major arts and entertainment board.
>>74887012
kek
>>74887176
add Alan Moore, Grant Morrison and Tool, and this will be the single greatest bait image on all of 4chan
>>74887176
This is probably intended as bait but I don't wholly disagree with any of it.
>>74887176
this but unironically
I listened to a lot of Animal Collective when I read it. It was very very fitting.
>>74886886
>listening to music while reading
Kill yourself, faggot.
>>74886886
if you're not fully involved in that book and free from even minor distractions, you won't finish it. IJ is tough
>>74887219
>pynchon
its a chart for talentless hacks not absolute final boss masters of their craft
>>74887936
it cant be that hard
>>74887176
Kafka triggered me desu. Well done.
>>74886886
You shouldn't be listening to music while reading, especially if you're reading "difficult" works, but I'd recommend some long drone or ambient album—like Stars of the Lid or some shit—with the volume down. It's the least distracting thing I can think of.
>>74886886
I would just go with some ambient stuff. Any time I read for long stretches, I put on:
Willamette
Grouper
Gray Ghost
Sense
Bvdub.
Try some of those out.

thank you my brother happy reading

Confirmed bait when I saw Cormac.
>>74886899
actually
>>74886893
like Springsteen's Nebraska was perfect for Richard Ford's short stories
>>74886886
All the disintegration loops are great background music for any book really.
>>74887176
not even bait
>>74888300
No prob. Book was great, some slow plots mixed in get boring, but the good parts are amazing. Took me like a year to read. Dont bitch out and skip the footnotes, just keep a second bookmark back there, some are hilarious.
Also nice dubs.
>>74887176
Def needs Wes Anderson on that chart
