Anyone else feel like they've reached their musical peak? That they can find nothing that compares that over which obsessed and listened more attentively than anything else? This anxiety is a painful boredom.
In my case it's Mono, in whom I find the peak of scope and originality that I find less in others.
Can someone rec me music like Mono's that would still manage to lead me into something eventually different?
For example:

Skip to 04:00 if you're impatient.
Anyway, save me this anxiety so I do not dwell and grow tired of what I already listen to almost exclusively.
Thread music.

Meanwhile I'll bump with the very best of Mono for want of narcissistic validation.

The problem with a few of these is the lack of the subtle and delicate orchestrations groups like Mono and Seven Mile Journey produce, who, I think, transcend that postrock label, simply because they're too aware of WHERE they're going and WHY, instead of WHAT and HOW.
...
I'm making very little sense, aren't I? Apologies, I am very drunk.

*because they're less concerned with WHY and WHERE vs. More covered with WHAT and HOW.
My priorities and order are absolutely fucked.

The genre all together is really meh. Maybe start getting into shoegaze or blackgaze. You will probably run into the same issue. The bands at the forefront of the music are usually the ones that have been around from the start. Its always the thing with these really niche genres.

I suppose it depends on how devoted you are in order to find its core/key importance. I've love postrock since my teens, so I guess I have to say it's a purely subjective treasure.
