That music is just a distracting background noise for plebeians. Really makes you think when you consider how much time you waste on listening to music and all the "obscure" bands that /mu/tants think makes them cooler.

He's right though. Music is a waste of perfectly good sound.

Great albums are worthwhile but you have to dig, an absurd amount to have a good idea of the lay of the land and no one cares about your chart full of obscureshit. Go outside and do something.
Real patricians don't watch movies. That's just visual stimulation.

surely if 1989 is worthwhile to someone, you cant just say it wasnt. subjective. you dont have to dig through shit.

because heaven is patrician land that only a few can get in.
real patricians meditate alone without food or water for weeks at a time until they realize there is no inherent value in life and that to exist is to suffer.

It is subjective and everyone has their tastes. Most people tend to find some genres they really love and all other genres that are dissimilar are regarded as utter shite. Obscurefag snobbiness is still not a worthwhile use of your existence. If it gets enough hype I will listen to it but I find going through other people's charts to be mind numbingly boring, probably because of my very plebian taste.

You're kind of right. The last music I got into was EAI, after that I just decided listening to sounds in their natural environment was more rewarding. With recordings you're limited to the sound sources emitted from 2 locations (speakers). If you go outside and listen, you're literally hearing tens of thousands of sound sources creating an everchanging soundscape unlike anything that a human can recreate.
