Terms like Shoegazing and Britpop were made up by NME, Melody Maker and other shitty music magazines in the first place.

Back in the 90s a friend's favorite cassette for the Autobahn had Ride's EPs on Side A and Pixies on Side B. Auto-Reverse was a great invention back in those days.

I think Nowhere is great. Their follow-up albums felt like they had some sort of taming-device implanted in their drummer's head.

to me shoegaze is just another branch of neo psych, how could it not be? dream pop and shoegaze arent necessarily ABOUT taking drugs or trying to recrate the experience, but come on, you dont think loveless in a way is a neo psychedelic album? its not about drugs but it doesnt feel like the psych experience to those whove tried it? no, im conifdent shoegaze is a part of psych

let me expand on my point

shoegaze and psych both ultimately have to do with eastern drones. while that isnt necessarily a correlation between the genres i think the best example would be spacemen 3. they pioneered not only shoegaze but also mixed in actual drone with their psych rock. the most realized sound would be on dreamweapon of course

This album is truly a godsend, an amazing piece of work. One of the best albums i listened to while tripping was Heaven or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins. Would recommend if you haven't experienced it.

I watched Primer on acid, and I have to say that was one crazy trip. Definitely top 5 trip experiences alongside talking to a county sheriff while on acid.
