wtf is with that stupid synth that comes in on "I Don't Really Mind" halfway through the song, it doesn't fit the song at all. and don't even get me started on how shitty the lyrics in that song are.
There are definitely some cool songs on the album (alter ego, its not meant to be) but its no where near a perfect record that "saved rock" (just because it isn't Pop anymore doesn't mean it needs saving). Tame Impala is just Deerhunter for normies.

sgt pepper was them capturing their childhood, the classical baroque era music hall etc MMT is more modern and up to date with its theme, its more interesting sonically too. who gives a shit about strings and orchestra, drown everything in phasing and tape echo like Innerspeaker
