metal is neither the simplistic puberty-core that people pretend it is nor is it some pseudo-intellectual art-inspired rock music that has to be played by musical geniuses.

metal is just music inspired by very primal instincts and urges, very much like early rock'n'roll but driven to the maximum. take it for what it is and it is enjoyable, even though the hypermasculine escapism is sometimes a bit too much. just don't take it too serious and have fun with it.
