I can't speak for /mu/ as a whole, but I enjoy most of their songs. I was shocked when I got dragged to one of his shows and it was a legitimate band with Adam on guitar and a full string section. Fireflies sounded great on guitar. He should incorporate more of that into his music

Ocean Eyes is still good but it has shitty tracks like dental care and rugs from me to you which was the start of him getting happier and transitioning from dream pop to regular pop.

Ive still never heard an album like MiD where it literally captures the "dream" part of dream pop.

some pretty big nostalgia for those two, they still hold up surprisingly, even if most of his lyrics can be corny and weird, i always found it kinda refreshing.

Ocean eyes is fine but yeh that was his big pop album what with fireflies exploding into popularity for some reason. I also really liked Atbab and Mobile Orchestra but Midsummer station kinda sucked, at least they're all mostly different in their own right.
