Is there a reason that metalheads overrate every single album on RYM? What makes them like this, so undiscerning and easily pleased?

switch metalheads with hip hop fans and this would be accurate

> ugh metalheads are so CRINGE like, why are they so undiscerning and easily pleased?
> now if you'll excuse me, I have to go call Young Thug screeching incoherently into a microphone "post-verbal genius"

metal is for yids
i think metal albums generally have a lower adjusted average than most genres on rym. look up a 3.0-3.2 rated death metal album and the reviews will be mostly positive while still rating at around 3 stars
I think rap is underrated (uncommon opinion)

That's because metal fans tend to gush at length over albums they like, while being simply dismissive of albums they don't like (except for DMU and MA shitters).

what do you mean?

this is why i left rym to be honest

>metalhead likes the album
vocalist had a lot of power in his voice, great technique. guitar has a great heavy tone and his mastery of descending sweeps in on full display especially on the track 4 solo, bassist and drummer are tight and get in some dexterous fills without overdoing it. the whole album has a dark atmosphere beginning with the intro of track 1 while headbanging riffs abound throughout. and so on and so on etc, etc...
>metalhead doesn't like the album
