also john personally hated it and I find the lyrics to be tasteless and creepy. Instrumentally it's just as you said, throwaway and boring. Any of their other singles that came out around the same time would've been a better fit on the record. Sort of like how they should've replaced Dr. Robert with Rain on Revolver.

And if you bought the U.S. version of Rubber Soul, you would realize that I've Just Seen a Face is the opening track. (Drive My Car would later appear on Yesterday and Today in the U.S.)
