Nobody ever 'learnt' to play the guitar. It is simply not a learnable skill. You either can or you can't. Same as darts. If you can't hold a tune within two hours of picking it up, kindly step away from it and never try again. Do not waste years of your life trying to prove everyone wrong about your undiscovered genius.

You do not need to bring it on holiday with you. The best you can hope for is to be playing outside a shopping centre and not be moved on for an hour. You know that mate who is trying to give you a great deal on his barely used stratocaster and amp? There's a reason for that. Walk away.
